Mae Bertoni
Watercolor Artist

ARTIST STATEMENT:
My mission artistically, is to highlight, as truthfully as I can, nature in the raw with its many varied facets, to which my creative urges respond.

The Beauty of the natural world is the constant source of my inspiration. The rivers, lakes, ocean and forests fuel my imagination and beckon to me. It is always a challenge, but one which I am powerless to resist.

I sit with the deepest respect, in awe and wonderment, as I contemplate a particular subject, and attempt to understand the essence of the place, to reach the area's soul if possible. Then while the adrenalin is flowing, I begin my painting and personal tribute.
